Immediate Need.
We’ll help you through.

Please call 281-337-1641 and simply tell us that you need immediate support.
After a death, loved ones need time to gather in prayer, express grief and comfort one another. This is also the time when many decisions must be made regarding the funeral and burial. We at Catholic Cemeteries, along with your pastor and funeral director can help you through this process and lighten the emotional burden. Also, if death is imminent, it may be appropriate to plan funeral rites with the family member before his or her passing. Below are a few points to assist you, but at this time hearing a consoling and guiding voice is likely what you need the most.

Help is here.

1. Meet with the pastor. The pastor of the deceased helps the family plan the funeral liturgy and provides faith and grief support. The pastoral visit takes place at an appropriate time after death and before the vigil. Samaritan volunteers, parish bereavement ministers and the parish community will assist the pastor and family with prayer, services and support.

2. Choose a funeral director. The funeral director transports and prepares the body for burial, applies for permits, assists with death certificate applications, offers casket and funeral-related items, and provides a place for viewing and visitation. The funeral director coordinates funeral services with the parish, clergy and the cemetery.

3. Visit the cemetery. The cemetery assists in preparing the committal service. Visiting the cemetery allows loved ones to understand the burial process and express their wishes and expectations. Although certain decisions must be made at this time, Catholic Cemeteries guide the bereaved under the belief that it is most important to focus on faith, without excessive confusion or pressure.

We gently assist with these decisions:

Burial space. Options include in-ground and above-ground burial. Cremated remains may be buried in the ground, in a mausoleum niche or in a garden columbarium.

Outer burial container. For in-ground burial, the casket must be placed within a concrete box or vault.

Memorial. We suggest that the memorial be selected at an appropriate time of your choosing, free from the emotional exhaustion of the funeral and burial. The selection of a memorial is highly personal and there are many beautiful and thoughtful options immediately available. We can also assist you in creating a fully original design.

Financing. We are keenly aware of the exhausting demands on the family at a time of loss. We do everything in our power to keep financial matters from adding to the stress and burden. We will carefully support and counsel your family without pressure to purchase our services. We also accept major credit cards and on the request of local funeral directors accept insurance proceeds.
